Minimum Wage

Scenario 1) So a person comes with a need for a job and the company cant afford a worker at minimum wage. What happens? He goes without a job, becomes homeless, and eventually dies poor.

Scenario 2) So a person comes with a need for a job and the company cant afford a worker at minimum wage, so they pay him 5 dollars an hour instead of 8. He can Just barely pay the rent at the place he is staying and a unhealthy diet. But he survives, he eventually progresses to a better job, and a better life. Hes not dead.

Where do people come up with these riddiculous quality of life arguments...dead/homeless, or surviving on a cheap job? There isnt even a question there.

The more you increase the minimum wage the more likely you are to force those companys to find cheap labor out of this country since cheap labor isn't readilly avaliable within the states. Outsourcing jobs is imminent with laws regulating pay structures.

Once I heard someone say that the biggest problem was that the adults who currently have jobs would lose them to youth who would work for less. Well maybe its time to up your game folks. A little personal responsibility here. Like all capitalism you either gotta outshine with quality or decrease the cost of your goods. Youth are willing to play it cheap, so you either need to match their price or you need to work at a quality or hours that you would otherwise be unwilling to do.

Capitalism is a simple equation folk. qualityxquantity=Corporation.

Guns

Ok. I am not quite sure why this isn't considered common sense by now. I've yet to hear an intelligent response to it. Criminals are criminals because they break the law. So making a law doesnt restrict criminals. Its only restricts those who respect the law, IE the good guys. So we have good guys who are not leggally allowed to carry weapons and the bad guys who are gonna carry weapons one way or the other. Who gets the short stick? The good guys. Now if ya give the good guys weapons, then the bad guys would think twice before committing the crime in the first place, or better yet they'd get shot. If they get shot we have less criminals, if they dont we have less crime. Whats the problem?

The only real response ive ever heard of is the thinking that if you give people weapons they will suddenly turn into vicious monsters who only want to kill each other. That suddenly because someone is armed they will want to take advantage of everyone around them. Sorry mate, but I think youve been watching too much Michael Moore. People aren't animals. If power to kill automatically fostered a desire to kill then all the buff people would be murdering psychopaths. Uh nuh. So what, your not gonna let us protect ourselves from the bad guys because your afraid of the good guys?
Ok well. Using this as a journal system is just lame so I think Ill use this to spam random political opinons that I had been spewing on my FB. This has become a political rant/rave moment so bear with me.

Big Issues: Guns, min wage, bio ethics, racism, womens rights, and monarchy.
